About

A passion for environmentally-sustainable planning and building led Wendy to her positions as a principal broker at Sotheby’s and as a partner in Winsome Construction, a construction company specializing in luxury custom homes. Her extensive experience in building, planning and design gives Wendy a unique perspective as a Realtor®. Additionally, raising her family in McMinnville, Oregon, the heart of Oregon's premiere wine country, enables Wendy to specialize in the unique market of vineyard, ranch and estate properties. In addition to her work in real estate and construction, Wendy is also passionate about local planning and civic leadership. After ten years serving on the City of McMinnville Planning Commission, 6 as the chair, she was elected to the McMinnville City Council where she currently is serving for her third year. Additionally, she volunteers her time as the Vice Chair for the McMinnville Urban Renewal Advisory Committee, which is charged with management of the implementation of the Urban Renewal plan for the City. She has served on that committee and the precursor to that committee since its inception in 2008. Wendy is a native of Acton, Massachusetts. While studying at the University of Virginia to earn her bachelors degree in environmental science and Spanish, Wendy worked for world-renowned green architect Will McDonough, Dean of Architecture at the University of Virginia, who first introduced her to the ideas of sustainable design in communities and buildings. Wendy taught Environmental Engineering at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico, worked as a events coordinator with The Oregon Natural Step and was the Sustainability Coordinator at Ashforth Pacific, a corporate real estate and construction company in Portland, OR. When Wendy is not working with her businesses or the City of McMinnville she loves trying to keep up with her 10 and 14 year old, gardening with her husband, perusing the local farmer’s market, traveling with her family to new and interesting places, running, or trying to strike that perfect yoga pose.
