EXPLORE HAPPY VALLEY

With the benefits of living close enough to the city of Portland yet maintaining the intimacy of a small town community, Happy Valley strikes a balance that is ideal for its 16,000 residents. Located just eleven miles to the southeast of Portland, this charming town sits on a hill that allows many who live there scenic views of Mt. Hood in one direction and Portland’s downtown skyline in the other.

As one of the fastest growing towns in Oregon, Happy Valley has much to offer its residents in terms of opportunities and amenities. The city is home to Oregon’s strongest health care industry and related sector. The many healthcare facilities have brought an incredible amount of growth and prosperity to the area.

Happy Valley isn’t without its amenities for residents. The clean air and suburban lifestyle make this an ideal location for families. The Mt. Hood National Forest is just around the corner as is the Columbia River Gorge, the Cascade Mountains, and the Clackamas River. All of these provide excellent opportunities for such things as fishing, hiking, biking, and winter sports. The Happy Valley Sculpture Garden is a popular destination in town that promotes art appreciation and culture within the community.

This area is a very attractive destination in the greater Portland area. Homes for sale in Happy Valley are nearly all single-family homes, from 2-bedroom 2-bathroom and larger. There are a few homes that date back to the 1970s, but most were built in the 1980s and beyond. If you would like to build a custom home in the area, vacant developed lots are also available in several parts of town.
