EXPLORE OREGON CITY

Oregon City, Oregon is a beautiful place that is only 13 miles south of the big city of Portland. The city is located at the meeting of the Willamete and Clackamas Rivers. There are three major zones in the city. These zones are defined by the steep hills and bluffs that make up the geography of the city. Other than the beautiful landscape of the city, there are ample places to shop and enjoy various recreational activities. The city is filled with historical and cultural attractions that both visitors and residents enjoy. Additionally, there are a few museums and interpretive centers to visit that focus on the celebration of the Pioneer spirit. Oregon City was, after all, the last stop on the Oregon Trail. It also served as the first State Capital and is currently the County Seat of Clackamas County.

The size of Oregon City is 5944 acres or roughly 9.3 square miles. The highest point in the city is 530 feet and the lowest point is 10 feet. The population as of 2014 was 35,266 which is increasing from the 2011 population of 32,220. The unemployment rate in 2013 was 11.6% but that rate is steadily decreasing. The weather is, on average, very pleasant in Oregon City.

If you are looking for a nice place to live or even visit, you should put Oregon City, Oregon on your list! Come to see the beautiful landscape, wonderful shopping, and all of the history that the city has to offer.
