Manzanita Beach is approximately 7 miles long and is nestled between Neahkahnie Mountain to the North and Nehalem Bay State Park to the South.

The beach is a popular destination for running, walking, playing, families, dogs, windsurfers, kiteboarders, and surfers. Nehalem Bay State Park offers hiking, boating, horseback riding, clamming, fishing, and crabbing. Manzanita’s downtown features charming shops, restaurants, several grocery stores, and full-service hardware and lumber store.
Approximately 5 miles North of Manzanita is a beautiful, quick walk down to Short Sand Beach. Short Sand provides picnic tables and BBQ pits, which makes it a great day trip for families and friends. This special spot is a favorite among the surfing community for its forgiving waves and sandy ocean floor.
Neahkahnie Mountain provides a 3-mile hike with a rewarding view of Manzanita, Nehalem Bay and Tillamook Bay. The hike is close to a 900 feet elevation gain and is friendly to beginner and advanced hikres alike. Manzanita also provides a beautiful golf course which winds through dunes, neighborhoods, a small lake and is nearly beachside. It is 2,192 yards, a par 32 and has 9 holes.
